Since 1901 the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies (JCCIC) has been responsible for the planning and execution of the Inaugural Ceremonies of the President-elect and Vice President-elect of the United States at the Capitol. The 59th Inaugural Ceremonies will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 on the West Front of the U.S. Capitol.
The JCCIC and the Presidential Inaugural Committee, in consultation with public health officials and medical experts, have decided to limit attendance at the 59th Inaugural Ceremonies due to COVID-19. Therefore, there will be no tickets available for public distribution.
For your health and safety, we encourage you to stay at home. The JCCIC is currently working on providing enhanced opportunities to watch the ceremonies online, in addition to the traditional televised national broadcast.
