Flag Requests

My office can help constituents purchase an American flag that has been flown over the U.S. Capitol Building to commemorate special occasions and events, or as an honor for individuals for their retirements, promotions in the military, or other special event. In addition to the flag, you will receive a certificate stating that the flag was flown over the Capitol. The certificate will include the name of the person for whom the flag was flown, the occasion, and the date it was flown.  "Pre-flown flags" are available to purchase. The Pre-flown flags can receive a customized certificate from my office that includes a message commemorating the event/occasion and that the flag was flown but will not include the specific date. To have a flag flown on a specific date and receive a customized certificate, be sure to check the box that you want the flag flown on a specific date and include the flying fee with your order.

Please allow my office a minimum of two weeks to process your request and about 6-8 weeks after it was flown for delivery by United States Postal Service.  Flags are flown daily year-round, weather permitting excluding Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Please note: Flag orders cannot be processed until payment is received, so please submit your request as early as possible.  Fees below reflect rates as of: October 1, 2020.

PLEASE NOTE: Beginning October 1, 2020, the Senate Stationary Room will increase the price of the flags and shipping. This increase will be reflected on all flag order forms starting on October 1.
