U.S. Capitol Room Named to Honor Inouye

Senator Hirono along with several of her Senate colleagues joined the Inouye family and the Hawaii community to dedicate the Senate President Pro Tempore’s office as the Daniel K. Inouye room. Senator Orrin Hatch, the current President Pro Tempore, reminisced that he would often see Senator Inouye’s family visiting him in the Capitol. Democratic Leader Harry Reid spoke about how Senator Inouye changed Hawaii and the United States for the better, never let partisanship come between friendships, and always stood for what he believed was the truth.
