As we celebrate Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander heritage — and our country's 250th anniversary — it is more important than ever that we uplift the untold stories of our communities.
Did you know that Filipinos first arrived in the United States over 400 years ago, long before our country's founding? Or that over 120,000 Filipinos migrated to Hawaii to work on sugar plantations in the early 1900's?
