Senator Hirono's Floor Speech on Limiting the Insurrection Act

Trump is using our troops to push his own political agenda, and I fear his next step is invoking the 217-year-old Insurrection Act so the military can execute search warrants and arrest Americans.   I stand with my colleagues supporting legislation to limit the Insurrection Act — this regime's abuse of power must be stopped.
